Guide
How is the score calculated?
The field-ranking score is the sum of each article’s journal points plus OpenAlex addon. Sources are labeled separately.
- Journal points 0.2 – 1 best of the Scopus SJR / WoS JCR quartiles
- OpenAlex addon 0 – 0.5 when citation percentile data exists
- Paper score ≤ 1.5 for each paper
- Academic's score sum of paper scores; each paper counted once
- Field ranking main field · sub-field · keyword
1
Journal points (Scopus SJR / WoS JCR)
The best of Scopus (SJR) and Web of Science (JCR) quartiles is used; the two indexes are not added. TR Index does not add points; it is shown separately.
2
OpenAlex percentile addon
Added when OpenAlex citation-percentile data exists; otherwise the addon is 0.
- Top 1% → +0.5
- Top 10% → +0.25
- Below or no data → +0
Short examples
Journal pointsOpenAlex addon
- 1 Plain Q1 → 1.0
- 1.5 Q1 + top 1% → 1.5
- 1.25 Q1 + top 10% → 1.25
- 0.7 No quartile + top 1% → 0.7 (does not beat plain Q1)
An academician’s score is the sum of article scores. Each article counts once: DOI (+ title key); otherwise title + year + ISSN.
This total ranks people within main-field, side-field, and keyword cohorts. Profiles show journal points and the OpenAlex addon separately.
